Dessert Specialists is undoubtedly the home of the Kronut. However, we have plenty more to offer. We do everything from chocolates to classical croissants. We aren’t just the home of the kronut, but fresh handmade desserts.

Our Chefs and Co-Owners Sadruddin and Mahmuda Abdullah are two of the top chefs in the world, winning the bread and pastry champion two consecutive years in a row. Dessert Specialists was started ten years ago and is still standing strong today. Currently based out of Charlotte, North Carolina we are now looking to move to the national stage with shipping and delivery, with a larger online presence.

Dessert Specialists is a Black owned, family owned small business. The secret to our longevity and continued success is that we use the freshest and finest ingredients that we can find for each product. On top of this, Each dessert is handmade from start to finish and baked fresh every morning. This has been our key from day one and this will not change.
